About usAfter taking early retirement from the teaching profession, we moved to Pyle House from Hertfordshire in 2005. The extensive landscaped garden has been sympathetically designed to complement the surrounding countryside. The variety of trees and plants attracts an abundance of wildlife including many species of birds and butterflies. Buzzards, roe deer, foxes, rabbits and waterfowl are often spotted close to the house and in the valley below. Mike is still an enthusiastic sportsman, regularly playing cricket and tennis and is an experienced walker. From our first days here, he developed a keen interest in fossil hunting along the Jurassic Coast beaches around Lyme Regis.
